Openings for Postdocs & PhD Students:
Computational Imaging Systems Lab is looking for 1 PhD student and 1 Postdoc in Fall 2025 – Spring 2026, who have background in optics, signal processing, computational imaging, and/or machine learning. We are recruiting in all research areas.
- Programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python) are required.
- Background in Fourier Optics and Optical Engineering are highly recommended.
Openings for M.S. and Undergraduate Students:
Computational Imaging Systems Lab is looking for M.S. & undergraduate students in Fall 2022.
Project 1: Deep learning for biomedical microscopy
- Goal:
- The student will work a group of PhD students to develop a computational phase microscopy
- Scope of work:
- Algorithm development
- Image / data analysis
- Backgrounds:
- Coding: Prior experience in developing deep learning algorithms in TensorFlow / PyTorch
- Basic knowledge of Digital image processing / Deep learning is preferred.
- The expected period of the project: 1-2 semesters
Project 2: Deep learning for neural signal processing
- Goal:
- The student will work a group of PhD students to develop a computational fluorescence microscope
- Scope of work:
- Fine-tuning of a deep neural network for image reconstruction
- Image / Data analysis
- Backgrounds:
- Coding: Prior experience in developing deep learning algorithms in TensorFlow / PyTorch
- Basic knowledge of Optics & Digital Signal Processing / Image processing
- The expected period of the project: 1-2 semesters
