Current Offerings: Midsemester Review

Starting this Fall, undergraduate instructors and advisors will begin using a new student support tool in MyBU Student: Midsemester Review.

Midsemester Review enables instructors and advisors to collaborate in support of undergraduate student success. Through the process, advisors may request reviews for students of concern, while instructors provide updates on students who may be at risk of not successfully completing a course.

Training Opportunities

The Midsemester Review Process launches in MyBU Student on Monday, October 5. To help prepare participants for launch, role-specific trainings are being offered – separate sessions for instructors and for advisors. Drop-ins will also be available and open to anyone.

INSTRUCTOR Midsemester Review Trainings

The two online training sessions cover the same information, so faculty are welcome to join one or both.

  • Providing updates on students who may need additional support
  • Key dates and expectations

When: Sept 25, 12:30 – 1:00pm or Oct 6, 12:00 – 1:00pm

ADVISOR Midsemester Review Trainings

The two online training sessions cover the same information, so advisors are welcome to join one or both.

  • Creating Requests for Review
  • Reviewing instructor updates
  • Providing and recording outreach efforts
  • Key dates and expectations

When: Sept 25, 2:30 – 3:30pm or Sept 28, 11:00am – 12:00pm

DROP INS: open to both instructors and advisors
When: Oct 7, 11-11:30am and Oct 8, 12:30-1pm
Where: No registration necessary: Join Zoom session at scheduled time.
