April 2025: Results from Papers Using URBAN ARCH Data

In this workshop, Dr. Sarah Gutin and Dr. Alain Favina presented results from their papers using URBAN ARCH data, titled “Intersectional stigma and health of people living with HIV on ART who use alcohol in southwestern Uganda,” and “Association between alcohol use, CD4 count, and depression among people living with HIV in southwestern Uganda.”

March 2024: Effects of Alcohol on the Gut-Brain Axis Among People with HIV

In this workshop, Dr. Mollie Monnig and Dr. Natalie Chichetto presented their work on alcohol and the gut-brain axis among people with HIV.

January 2024: K43 Applications

In this workshop, we heard from Dr. Julian Adong, recent NIMH K43 award recipient, and her mentor, Dr. Jessica Haberer, about this award, experiences with this funding mechanism, and tips for other international trainees hoping to pursue similar paths. A K43 Emerging Global Leader Award is a 5-year grant to support career development for early-stage investigators in non-US settings.
