Research Interests & Fieldwork

I worked with Professor West to analyze archaeological material from Chirikof Island; this material will be used to gain a better idea of what the faunal makeup of the island was 500-2000 years ago. Specifically, I worked to identify canid bones found in samples from  Chirikof Island. If these bones prove to be as old as they seem they could give us some idea of how and when domestic dogs came to the island (hundreds or thousands of years ago).
