PREVIEW: Beabadoobee

British alternative icon Beabadoobee is set to headline TD Garden on Oct. 3 in support of her new album “Pylon.” With previously praised works including “Cologne,” “The Way Things Go” and “Real Man,” the tour showcases a fresh direction for the BRIT Award winner, leaning into a ‘90s rock and Midwest emo sound. 

Since her 2017 debut single “Coffee,” the singer-songwriter has taken the world by storm with her melodic, distinctive voice, building a devoted fan base and a reputation for her genre-blending experimentation. Over the past few years, she’s evolved from bedroom pop to a more experimental, alternative sound, connecting with new audiences to draw them into her work. Now, she’s on the cusp of her world tour, kicking off Oct. 1 in Connecticut before taking her performance through major U.S. cities and beyond. The indie-rock and alternative sensation will start her U.K. and European leg Nov. 14 in Glasgow.

For fans who have yet to give “Pylon” a listen, the album revisits some of Beabadoobee’s earlier roots, featuring collaborators such as Hayley Williams and Brendan Yates. Released Sept. 18, the tour is in support of the 14-track record, which has already received strong fan engagement and support. With each listen, Beabadoobee’s fourth studio album delivers a fuller, captivating experience, showcasing how far she’s evolved as an artist from polished pop to a louder, heavier, more intense sound. 

Opening the Boston stop is Wisp, the San Francisco-based shoegaze artist who has quickly emerged as a compelling new voice in the industry. With the release of her 2023 debut single “Your Face,” the singer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist has built a following on her hazy, distorted guitar. Her 2025 debut album “If Not Winter” marks Wisp’s reputation as a leader in a genre-bending shoegaze vibe. As she joins Beabadoobee’s Powerlines Tour, this artist is sure to reach and connect with new audiences. 

With an amazing setlist, this tour is shaping up to be a defining moment in Beabadoobee’s career, spanning countries. This is definitely a can’t-miss event for Boston!
