Gallery: Men’s hockey trampled in Beanpot Final

For the 300th time, Boston University’s men’s hockey team faced off against the Boston College Eagles, but a lifeless penalty kill and power play left the Terriers unable to defend their Beanpot title as they fell 6-2. The Terriers started the game well, when sophomore forward Brandon Svoboda cleaned up a rebound in the third minute of the first period. The Eagles equalized on the power play towards the end of the first frame. The second period began as a back and forth game, but BC found their groove at the end of the 20 minutes, breaking the tie at even strength before capitalizing on the man-advantage again. The Eagles scored another power play goal early in the third period, while also adding another goal at even strength and one last tally on the empty night, while BU could only manage a power play goal from sophomore forward Cole Eiserman.
