Women’s Hockey: BU Are Set To Hosts UConn Huskies

Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (9-18-3, 7-12-2 HE) is set to take on the University of Connecticut Huskies (22-7-2, 15-5-1 HE) on Saturday.
The Terriers are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Northeastern University Huskies where junior forward Neely Nicholson and senior forward Clara Yuhn scored both BU goals. For Yuhn, it was her ninth goal this season, bringing her to 18 total points with nine assists.
Yuhn follows behind senior forward Sydney Healey, who leads the team with 25 points this season (15 goals, ten assists). These two forwards have been crucial to the team, bringing speed and high offensive play every game.
Goaltender Mari Pietersen is likely to play in net on Saturday, having made 26 saves against Northeastern. She has an overall .921 save percentage and 440 saves this season.
The Terriers boast a 31-22-10 all-time record against the Huskies, with a 16-11-5 home record. BU is 1-7-2 in the last ten games against UConn.
In their most recent series, BU and UConn split, with Boston University winning in a shootout after a 1-1 tie and UConn taking a 3-2 win the next day.
UConn is coming off a 5-1 win against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. Sophomore Sadie Hotles and junior Livvy Dewar both managed two points in the game.
Senior Kyla Josifovic managed an assist and leads her team with 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists). Josifovic has been a key player when it comes to offensive play.
Goaltender Tia Chan made 21 saves against UNH and is likely to be in net against BU. She boasts an overall .950 save percentage and 878 saves this season.
