Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (9-16-3, 7-10-2 HEA) will host the University of Maine (10-16-3, 6-10-3 HEA) on Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena.

The Terriers are coming off a 3-0 loss at Vermont on Thursday, where BU was held scoreless despite solid goaltending from junior Mari Pietersen, who made 20 saves. Two weeks earlier, junior Michelle Pasiechnyk started both games against the Catamounts, stopping 58 shots across the weekend.

It remains uncertain who will start in goal Saturday. Pasiechnyk owns a .913 save percentage, while Pietersen sits at .924. Both have allowed 34 goals this season, combining for 769 saves.

BU has historically held the edge over Maine with a 38-23-4 all-time record, including a 19-12-2 mark at home. In their previous matchup earlier this season, seniors Clara Yuhn and Sydney Healey propelled the Terriers to a 2-1 win to secure the weekend split. Healey leads BU in scoring with 24 points on 15 goals and nine assists.

Maine enters the matchup following a 5-1 loss to Northeastern. Freshman forward Isabelle Michaud recorded the Black Bears’ lone goal, her eighth of the season, and leads the team with 15 points.

Goaltender Kiia Lahtinen made 36 saves in that loss, improving her season save percentage to .917. She is expected to start against BU this weekend.

With home ice on their side, the Terriers will look to regroup after a shutout loss and continue their dominance over Maine.

Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Walter Brown Arena. The game will be streamed live on NESN and ESPN+.
