Gallery: Men’s Hockey not able to find last-minute goal to equalize Providence

Two equalizers were not enough. Boston University’s men’s hockey team conceded the game-winning goal from the Providence College Friars with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, and were unable to respond to a fourth goal to secure any conference points in the series’ opener. The Terriers started lifeless, and during that time, the Friars roared to a 2-0 lead. Sophomore forward Cole Eiserman cut the deficit in half in the fourth minute of the second before. Freshman forward Tynan Lawrence then scored his first collegiate goal in the first period of the third period, to tie the game. The Friars responded quickly with a third goal, but so did Eiserman, who tied it again in the 13th minute of the third period. The go-ahead goal was scored in the 18th minute of the final frame, and the Terriers could not equalize even with the extra attacker.
