Gallery: Women’s Hockey loses Beanpot Championship to penalty shot in OT
Searching for their first Beanpot title in their third-consecutive final, Boston University’s women’s ice hockey suffered a 2-1 loss to the Harvard Crimson, with the overtime game-winning goal coming off a penalty shot. The Crimson opened the scoring off their first shot during the game, but the Terriers responded with a power play goal by junior forward Greta Henderson in the 11th minute of the four minutes. Then, over the next 49 minutes of regulation, neither team broke through, despite BU generating 46-15 difference in shots during 60 minutes of regulation. In overtime, the Terriers were called for a trip where the referees awarded Harvard a penalty shot, and they converted to win the game.
