Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (7-12-3, 5-7-2 HE) is up against Harvard University (10-10-1, 5-8-1 ECAC) for another tournament championship game this season.

The two teams have made it to the final round of the 47th Women’s Beanpot Championship and are looking to give the Beanpot trophy a new home.

The Terriers beat Northeastern in the semifinals with a 2-1 overtime win, while the Crimson fought against Boston College and managed a 2-1 win.

BU is coming off a 4-2 loss against Holy Cross, where junior forward Neely Nicholson scored the first goal and senior forward Luisa Welcke recorded two points with a goal and an assist.

Harvard is also coming off a rough weekend with losses against Princeton and Quinnipiac, managing only two goals over the weekend: one by first-year forward Carla McSweeney and another by first-year forward Elle Sproule.

McSweeney and Sproule, along with three other teammates, have all racked up 11 points this season, with McSweeney in the lead with seven goals and four assists.

The two schools have an even 10-10-2 all-time record. Last year, the Terriers faced the Crimson in the first round and took a 2-1 overtime win to face Northeastern in the championship game, and neither team has taken home a Beanpot in several years, with BU’s last win in 2019 and Harvard’s in 2022.

In their last matchup, BU took home the Belpot in a 3-2 win.

Likely to be in net for the Crimson is sophomore goaltender Ainsley Tuffy, who has made 319 saves in nine games and boasts a .954 save percentage.

For the Terriers, it is likely junior goaltender Mari Pietersen will be between the pipes on Tuesday; she has made 354 saves across 13 games and carries a .927 save percentage.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden, with streaming available on ESPN+ and NESN
