Gallery: Women’s basketball suffers heartbreaking loss to Lafayette
Despite a foul on a potential game-winning, three pointer, Boston University’s women’s basketball suffered a 65-64 loss to the Lafayette College Leopards as they were unable to convert on enough free throws with the game on the line. The Leopards took and early lead in the first quarter, but the Terriers managed to claw back to a 38-33 lead at halftime. Lafayette rattled several quick buckets to start the second half to tie the game before taking a lead they would hold on to for the rest of the game. Senior forward Anete Adler led all BU players in points, with 14, while sophomore guard Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir posted a career high four three-pointers made.
