Gallery: Women’s basketball wraps up non-conference schedule against UMaine Fort Kent
After three consecutive losses, the BU women’s basketball team bounced back with a dominant 103-32 win over the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals. The Bengals put themselves on the scoreboard first as the Terriers could not score until three minutes into the game. Sophomore guard Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir tied the game for the Terriers with a field goal and a free throw in the seventh minute, from which the Terriers were able to take and extend the lead in the rest of the game. Sophomore forward Allison Schwertner recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, both of which are season highs. Sophomore guard Rose Azmoudeh made starting lineups for the first time at BU and put up 21 points, with 50% field goal and three-pointer made. With strong contributions across the lineup, the Terriers concluded non-conference play with a decisive victory ahead of their conference schedule opener.
