Gallery: Men’s basketball falls to Maine despite a strong second half

The Boston University men’s basketball team welcomed the Maine Black Bears but fell to Maine 69-59. Maine opened the scoring with a three-pointer and held the lead. The Terriers struggled with shooting in the first half, with a 28.6% field-goal-made and a 18.8% three-pointer-made. Early in the second half, freshman forward Sam Hughes’s three-pointer tied the game for the Terriers. However, the Black Bears responded and expanded the lead to six points soon after. E BU’s sophomore forward Ben Defty earned a double-double with 11 rebounds and a team-leading 19 points.
