Gallery: Men’s hockey extends win streak to three with hard-fought win against UVM

Boston University’s men’s hockey team earned a 2-1 win over the University of Vermont Catamounts, fueled by steady special-teams play and strong goaltending. Sophomore forward Kamil Bednarik opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute of the first period before freshman defenseman Charlie Trethewey buried his first collegiate goal in the fifteenth minute of the second period to extend BU’s lead. Vermont pulled within one in the third period, but the Terriers tightened up defensively and limited chances down the stretch. Sophomore Mikhail Yegorov delivered a 25-save performance, including two key stops with the Catamounts’ net empty in the final minute. Junior forward Jack Harvey factored into both BU goals with a pair of assists as the Terriers secured their third straight win.
