Boston University Men’s Soccer (8-3-0, 4-1-0 PL) will face-off against the Northeastern Huskies (2-6-3, 1-4-1 CAA) on Tuesday at Nickerson Field.

Coming off a five-game winning streak, BU will look to stay in scalding hot form against their local rivals. This match also provides the Terriers an opportunity to have a winning record in Boston derbies this season, after a 3-2 win against Harvard and a 1-2 loss against Boston College.

Northeastern, meanwhile, has not won in over a month. The Huskies’ last win came Sept. 13 and have since struggled to score goals this season. They managed to net only two goals in their last four matches.

Northeastern has only scored three or more goals in a match once this season. However, the Terriers have achieved that feat three times in their last four matches and two other times earlier in the season.

BU freshman defenseman Austin Mobray was awarded Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday for the second time this season. He is now up to a goal and three assists on the campaign.

The Terriers have seen impressive production from multiple other freshmen this season as well: Midfielder Sebastian Otero has three goals so far, and defenseman Anthony Harper has one as well.

Northeastern is led by sophomore forward Bryce Flowers, who has four goals and an assist this season. The Huskies have had seven different goalscorers on the campaign, while BU has seen 11 of their own convert.

The overall form of each side suggests a possible one-sided affair. The Terriers will look to add to their excellent home record, while Northeastern will hope to defeat their scoring woes.

This will also be the final non-conference matchup of the Terriers season with a run-in of four Patriot League matches on the horizon.

With kickoff at 7 p.m., the match will be available to stream on ESPN+.
