The Boston University Terriers (4-5, 1-1 PL) are heading to Pennsylvania to face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks (2-7, 0-1 PL) this Saturday.
Coming off a tough 7-6 loss against the University of New Hampshire, the Terriers are looking to bounce back on Saturday. BU didn’t let UNH go down without a fight. Senior Caroline O’Brien had two goals and an assist, while Junior Nicole Lauro had two goals as well. O’Brien and Lauro are ones to watch as they continue to be dominant players, both leading the team with 8 goals this season.
On the other hand, Lehigh is coming off a 3-2 win against Long Island University on Sunday. Junior Aubrey Ide led the team to the win with her first and second goals of the season. Senior Kiki Mes is one to look out for as she’s leading the team with 4 goals and 10 points.
BU holds a 9-4 winning record against Lehigh. The Terriers have a 3-3 away record while the Mountain Hawks own a 3-3 home record playing against each other, giving neither team an advantage. Their last meeting in 2024 was a home game and a 3-0 shutout for the Terriers.
Junior Terrier goalie Sophie Ortyl is expected to start in the game on Saturday. She boasts a 2.44 goals-against average and a 0.691 save percentage. With two shutouts this season, hoping to add another against Lehigh.
For the Mountain Hawks, Junior Kate Burgess is projected to start in goal. She boasts a 3.28 goals-against average and a 0.667 save percentage. Making it a fairly even and tough matchup for both teams.
Boston University is set to take on Lehigh University on Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. on Ulrich Field. Streaming will be available on the Lehigh Sports website.
