Boston University Men’s Soccer (5-3-0, 2-1-0 PL) is gearing up for a match against storied opponent Harvard (3-2-2, 0-1-0 Ivy) on Tuesday at Jordan Field in Allston.

The Terriers will look to finish off their three-game road trip with a win against the Crimson, after Saturday’s 3-2 win against No. 24 Bucknell and a late game 2-1 loss against BC on Sept. 23. On the other side of the field, Harvard seeks to bounce back from a 1-0 loss at home to Ivy rival Princeton.

Freshmen duo Sebastian Otero and Anthony Harper look to continue their recent success — midfielder Otero’s two goals on the season and defender Harper’s first goal of the game against Boston College on Sept. 23. In the net, junior goalkeeper William Clavier is likely to earn his third start of his season and career, having five saves total and a shutout in a match against Navy on Sept. 20.

Harvard is led by junior forwards Dylan Tellado and Andreas Savva, who have two goals and two assists each on the season. The Crimson defense is backed by the goalie pair Cullan MacNeil and Lucian Wood, who have split time in the net to earn a combined 25 saves and 0.57 goals against per game.

This match marks the 56th match against the Crimson, a cross-river rivalry dating back to 1951. Harvard leads the all-time series 28-17-10 and has gone undefeated the last four games with two wins and two ties. The last Terrier win was on Oct. 5, 2019, a 2-0 shutout at Nickerson Field.

Harvard has been better at home than on the road this season, notching their highest-scoring game of this year on Sept. 10 — a 3-1 win over the University of California. The Crimson will try to continue this pattern against BU, though the Terriers have posted an even 3-3 record away this year.

Kickoff for Tuesday is scheduled for 7 p.m., and a video stream for the game will be available on ESPN+.
