Gallery: Men’s soccer concedes two late goals for heartbreaking loss to Boston College
Three minutes separated Boston University’s men’s soccer team from victory against the Boston College Eagles, however, the match ended 2-1, in favor of the Eagles, who put on a late surge to claim victory over their cross-town rivals. The Terriers opened up the scoring in the 17th minute, when freshman midfielder Anthony Harper crashed towards the back post to poke junior forward Lapo Romieri’s corner kick into the back of the net for his first collegiate goal. This result stood until the 88th minute as BC capitalized on a series of failed clearing attempts with a long-range shot. 41 seconds later, the Eagles were awarded a free kick and, again, scored to complete their comeback.
