Gallery: Men’s soccer opens home slate with victory against Brown
Boston University’s men’s soccer team roared to an exciting 3-1 win over the Brown Bears to start their slate of home games for the 2025 season. The first 45 minutes were evenly contested, and thus, remained scoreless. Boston University carried their momentum of generating high-danger chances from the first half and scored 40 seconds into the second half when junior forward Lapo Romieri directed a lobbed pass from junior forward Andrea Di Blasio toward Brown’s back post. Then, in the 48th minute, freshman defender Austin Mobray roofed a shot to score his first collegiate goal. The Bears, however, did not go down with a fight, and scored off a free kick in the 53rd minute. Junior forward Andrea Di Blasio sealed the victory by scoring his first goal of the season in the 65th minute, scrambling after a loose ball in the box.
