Gallery: Women’s lacrosse falls to Holy Cross in regular season finale
Despite making a second-half push, the Boston University women’s lacrosse team fell 18-12 to the Holy Cross Crusaders in their final regular season matchup on Thursday. After being plummeted by the Crusaders in the opening 8 minutes, the Terriers fought back and even traded goals to keep the score 4-4 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter, however, was all Crusaders, as they scored 10, but the Terriers could only manage 3 goals. There was a sign of life in the second half of the game as the Terriers closed in with five unanswered goals, bringing the score to 16-12 with 10 minutes left in the game. Yet, the Crusaders found one last gear, scoring two more and bringing the final score to 18-12.
