From “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” to “Rose Tattoo,” Dropkick Murphys’ unique sound, catchy lyricism, and inclusive working-class and union pride have cemented them as hometown legends in Boston. Hailing from Quincy, Massachusetts, Dropkick Murphys are known for their iconic Celtic-punk style, blending instrumentals and melodic elements from traditional Irish folk music with an American punk-rock foundation.

 

The band has been a Boston staple for decades, and you can’t go to a Bruins or Celtics game without hearing their music. With the whole arena singing along, this town’s love for Dropkick Murphys is nothing short of infectious. This love is mutual, too. Every year, the band plays a series of St. Patrick’s Day shows in the city, attracting fans from across New England and thrilling their loyal Boston fanbase for over 20 years.

Right now, Dropkick Murphys are charming audiences coast to coast with electrifying performances on their 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Tour. They’re accompanied by American punk-rock band Pennywise, known for their 90’s hits “F— Authority” and “Bro Hymn” as well as their dynamic live shows. This St. Paddy’s Day weekend, Dropkick Murphys and Pennywise are ready to finish it off with a grand-finale four-show run in Fenway that is sure to be unforgettable!
