Boston University Terrier Men’s basketball defeated Loyola this Sunday at Case Gym with an 82-79 win.

In the first half, both teams kept the points close during the high-intensity game until around the 6-minute mark where a phenomenal assist by BU Forward Otto Landrum earned the team a lead. This momentum was maintained through the rest of the half with a stellar performance by Senior Guard Miles Brewster, who led the Terriers to a 15-point lead at the half.

The second half started strong as BU’s Nico Nobili put three on the board, but Loyola wasn’t far behind. Led by Senior Forward Alonso Faure and Junior Guard David Brown III, Loyola took its first lead of the half with about 8 minutes to go. The Terriers kept playing but after a close final few minutes, Loyola put up a game-tying 3 to send the game into overtime with a 73-73 score. A nail-biting 5-minute overtime was close, but BU finalized a narrow lead with help from Anthony Morales and final penalty points by Kyrone Alexander.
