The Battle of Comm Ave started and ended in a loss for the No. 1 Boston University men’s hockey team as they fell 4-3 on a Saturday night game at Agganis Arena against No. 2 Boston College after a 4-1 loss at the heights the previous night.
BC started off hot with a 5-on-3 power play goal in the first period followed by an even strength goal only 1:13 later. With 14 seconds left in the first period, Lachance gave the crowd something to cheer for with a goal assisted by Greene.
3:39 into the second period, Stevens scored a goal assisted by Tuch to tie the contest at 2-2, but BC regained the lead by the end of the second period and added an insurance goal with 6:15 remaining in the third period. BU tried their luck with an extra attacker on the ice at the end of the contest, but fell short to score against the strong BC defense.
