SPECIAL REPORT BY RACHAEL SORCHER ON PUBLIC SCHOOL INEQUITY DURING THE PANDEMIC AND BEYOND

The pandemic has flipped the world upside down, and it has also turned bedrooms into classrooms.  In March of 2020, teachers and students alike were thrown into the unknown world of online learning.  This learning environment has inherent barriers, but it troubles some kids more than others such as low-income students and students of color.  A look into home classrooms reveal the inequities in our school systems that the pandemic has exposed.  As schools begin to reopen, educators and public heath experts says it is vital to understand the impact of this online experience.  WTBU Reporter Rachael Sorcher has the story.
