Boston University will take the ice for the last time in 2018 Friday night, as Dartmouth comes to town for the first time since 2014 looking to extend their three-game win streak against a shorthanded Terrier squad as Chad Krys is injured and Shane Bowers and Cam Crotty will be at Canadian World Junior camp.

“Hopefully it doesn’t affect anyone,” mentioned head coach Albie O’Connell. “We will have to have guys step up and play well. Some guys will have to play a little more than they have, so it’s a good opportunity for guys to step and show us what they can do playing a few more minutes.”

Last weekend while BU split a weekend series with Lowell, Dartmouth was swept by New Hampshire in a home and home series. In total, the Big Green come into this weekend with a 4-5-1 record. Far and away their most impressive win came back on November 3rd when they torched Quinnipiac 5-1 at home. Quinnipiac is now the sixth-ranked team in the PairWise rankings and have only lost three times all year.

Scouting the Big Green

Dartmouth comes at teams with a very balanced attack. No player averages more than 0.90 goals per game, but 14 skaters have multiple points on the year. Leading the way is Will Graber, a junior from Longmont, Colorado, who has nine points by way of three goals and six assists in ten games. Both Drew O’Connor and Quin Foreman have a team-high five goals.

In net, Adam Clark owns a 4-3-1 record to go along with a .911 save percentage and a 2.58 goals against average in nine starts.
Three in a row

Dartmouth has won three straight meeting against the Terriers, a streak that dates back to January 15, 2008. Dartmouth won that night 3-2, then toppled the Terriers again in 2014 at Agganis by a score of 4-2. The Big Green managed to blank the 2015 Jack Eichel led Terriers 2-0 at Thompson Arena. The last BU victory against Dartmouth was all the way back in 2007, a 3-0 win in the consolation game of the Ledyard Bank Tournament.
