Men’s Basketball: Patriot League announces 2018-19 preseason honors

The Patriot League announced their 2018-19 preseason poll and all-league teams Wednesday morning with BU finishing fourth in the poll. Returning four starters from last year’s team, the Terriers received 121 points and two first-place votes. Here’s the full poll:

BU went 15-16 overall and 10-8 in the Patriot League a season ago, finishing fifth in the league. But in the tournament, they defeated preseason favorite Lehigh in the quarterfinals before falling to eventual league champion Bucknell in the semifinals.

American point guard Sa’eed Nelson was named the Preseason Player of the Year. Nelson averaged 18.6 ppg and 5.1 apg as a sophomore, landing on the Second-Team All-Patiot League.
