BETHLEHEM, PA  –  Saturday afternoon will see a clash of high-flyers in the Patriot League, as the Boston University women’s soccer team takes on Lehigh University. Both teams are in sublime form, and the outcome of the fixture could very well determine the top dogs of this year’s league.

The Terriers (3-5-2) have won two straight to start their conference campaign, scoring seven goals, outshooting their opponents 70-18, and earning clean sheets in both matches. Furthermore, contributions have come from seemingly everywhere in the squad. Nine different BU players have scored goals, while fourteen have made assists.

Although they have not been quite as prolific, Lehigh hardly pales in comparison. The Mountain Hawks are on a streak of their own, having won three of their last four matches, while conceding only twice. Displaying impressive numbers in goals against average (0.614) and goals per match (0.67), the hosts should make for a formidable opponent and will undoubtedly test the patience of the Terrier offense.

BU forward McKenna Doyle will be itching to get started, having last year scored with 57 seconds left in the second half to lift the Terriers over the Mountain Hawks, 2-1, at Nickerson Field. With a goal to her name already this season, Doyle could easily be a thorn in the side of the Lehigh back four once again.

Kickoff from Ulrich Sports Complex is set for 4 P.M.
