By: Marisa Ingemi

Two games into the season, the Boston University women’s lacrosse team has to feel good about the way it has started its season. A close loss to ranked Boston College and a confident win over UMass-Lowell has the Terriers at 1-1 heading into a contest against Dartmouth.

Avery Donahoe has emerged as a leader for the Terriers with eight points and senior Elisabeth Jayne has seven points as she’s become a huge part of the offense for the first time in her career.

Caroline Meegan has continued her stellar career in the BU crease with a 57% save percentage to help BU keep the River Hawks at seven goals last week.

Dartmouth comes to Boston 3-0 with wins over Lowell, New Hampshire, and Binghamton, scoring more than ten goals each game. Courtney Weisse has led the way with 13 points along with fellow attacker Cara Dipippo.

Kiera Vrindton has a 62% save percentage while Duxbury, Massachusetts native Charlotte Wahle stepped in during one game when needed. The Big Green have a difficult schedule upcoming with the Terriers as the first opponent in that stretch.

After this home contest, the Terriers have a Southern Cal road trip with games at USC and San Diego State and won’t have another game at Nickerson until March 15th against Fairfield.
