North Dakota retains possession of the top spot following a three-point weekend. The Fighting Hawks continue to be stout defensively, allowing an average of 1.748 goals per game. Goaltender Cam Johnson holds a .942 SV% and a nation-leading 1.423 GAA.

Quinnipiac remains at number two following two ties in midweek matchups. Quinnipiac is also a very stout defensive team, allowing a nation’s lowest 1.569 goals per game. Goaltender Michael Garteig is third in the NCAA with a 1.488 GAA.

St. Cloud State breaks the top three for the first time this season after two dominating wins over Western Michigan this weekend. Flying far under the radar, the Huskies are second nationally with 4.332 goals per game. They also have the third best power play, operating at 30.61%. In addition, the Huskies only take 7.4 PIM per game, the fifth lowest in the NCAA. Featuring a balanced offensive front with players like Joey Benik and Kalle Kossila leading the way, St. Cloud State could be a dangerous team come tournament time.

STATS OF THE WEEK:

Boston College defeated Massachusetts 8-0 on Friday, with eight different players scoring goals for the Eagles.

Wisconsin is 8-39-11 since winning the Big Ten Title in 2014. The Badgers were swept over the weekend by Minnesota in Madison for the first time since 2006.
