Trainee Alina McIntyre wins the BU IGS 2023 Peter Fox-Penner Graduate Student Award!
Congratulations to URBAN Trainee Alina McIntyre, who has won the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability 2023 Peter Fox-Penner Graduate Student Award, given annually to a student who has made a significant contribution to research or practice in the realm of sustainability & climate change and/or equity & justice. Alina is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Environmental Health. Her research is part of the Chelsea and East Boston Heat Study (C-HEAT), a collaborative project between GreenRoots, Inc. and BUSPH. She is involved in community-engaged heat and air pollution exposure research, drawing on environmental epidemiology, exposure assessment, and qualitative methods.
