Participation in BU URBAN is an exciting opportunity to benefit from expanded training and resources during your Ph.D. at Boston University. Trainees join BU URBAN from multiple participating departments across the university, creating a unique interdisciplinary community.
Incoming and Current Ph.D. students: Applications to join our Fall 2022 cohort are due by May 27, 2022, at 5:00 pm ET. We particularly encourage individuals from groups underrepresented in STEM to apply, especially those who have attended Historically Black Colleges and Universities; Tribal Colleges and Universities; and Hispanic Serving Institutions.

In addition to completing the form below, please have your faculty advisor(s) send a letter of support directly to Evan Kuras, Program Manager, at email@example.com by May 27 at 5:00 pm ET. The letter should describe why they think you should participate in the program and summarize your strengths and weaknesses. Please have your advisor use “Student last name_Student first name_YEAR-NRT Program LOR.pdf” as the file name.
Prospective Ph.D. applicants to BU: You must first apply to a participating department in order to apply to BU URBAN. The following links will lead you to the application pages in each department.
