Student Compliance
This is an overview of compliance items for students and how the holds process will be managed for Fall 2026 and future terms.
Compliance Process for Fall 2026
Aug 1: compliance items assigned with NO service/registration impacts.
- Items will display in the Task and a Hold sections for students
- Associated communications will send to students
Oct: compliance items not completed will begin to impact service/registration for Spring 2027.
- Does NOT restrict Fall 2026 registration activities
- Associated communications will send to students
ⓘ Registration hold only applies if student didn’t complete item by 10/1
Clicking on the hold item from the dashboard or the left menu, more details are available. Information includes:
- Compliance requirement name, the initiating department, and important instructions – please review.
- Start Term: indicates the term that the student will be prevented from registering for; in this case, Spring 2027.
- Start Date: indicates when the compliance assignment was made; in this case, 8/1/2026. This is NOT the due date or date the service impact goes into effect.

Additional Process Details
- Timing: requirements apply to term activated students (adhering to population specifics in previous table).
- After Aug assignments, processes will be run daily to apply indicators to newly term activated students.
- Impacts: compliance requirements become registration ‘Holds’ in early October.
- Students who do not complete the listed compliance items will be prevented from registering for the Spring 2027 term.
Helpful Queries for Staff:
- Service ind data by term, (BU_SR_SRVC_IND_DATA): list of students based on the service indicator entered in the report prompt. Service indicator data values display in the results, as well as the associated impact, applied date, whether positive or negative, and if the student can enroll.
- Blocked Registrations, (BU_R0010J_SR_BLOCKED_REGS): list of students with negative service indicators, which prevent registration. Students may be listed multiple times if more than one hold is impacting the specified Term.
- Prompts include Term and optional Career/Program/Plan values, with the choice to narrow down by specific service indicator if desired. Results display the service indicator values and applied date.
