Introducing the Student Outreach & Support Suite – Action Items
These sessions provide information on advisor and faculty processes. We are excited to share that Boston University is launching the Student Outreach & Support Suite (SOS Suite)—a new set of tools designed to strengthen communication around student wellbeing and academic success. The first component, Action Items, will be available on mid February.
Action Items are designed to help students get the support they need as soon as challenges begin to emerge. When a faculty member notices that a student appears to be facing academic or personal difficulties, they can submit an Action Item in MyBU Student to share that insight with the student’s academic advisor.
Training Opportunities
To prepare faculty and advisors, documentation will be available soon, and the following training and drop-in Q&A sessions are being offered:
Trainings: A step‑by‑step walkthrough of the Action Items tool so faculty and advisors can understand the full workflow and their roles.

- February 23, 2:00–3:00 PM
Drop‑Ins: Quick Q&A sessions for users who already attended a live training and have follow‑up or scenario‑specific questions.
- February 20, 12:00–12:30 PM
- February 26, 3:00–3:30 PM
