At the The Pardee Atlas Journal of Global Affairs, we aim to foster dynamic conversations on global affairs by providing a platform for students to engage in forward-thinking. This includes reviewing papers for publications and hosting our very first research symposium. We are looking for additional Pardee graduate students to support the goals of The Atlas!

Editorial Board Member
Financial Chair*
- Manage Atlas financial accounts including maintaining a balanced financial system.
- Budget for events through careful planning and execution of financial resources.
- For the symposium, maintain contact with Pardee centers for potential sponsorship.
- Review abstracts as needed for the symposium
- Provide support for outreach and events
- Provide support for editing tasks as needed
- Provide other administrative and logistic support as needed
*Will work as part of core Atlas team and help plan the Symposium
Editing Staff
Copy Editor
- Review and revise submitted manuscripts, policy papers, working papers, and any content deemed worthy of publication for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- Ensure that content adheres to the in-house style guide including structure of content and submission format
- Communicate and work with the editing team to ensure that content is published in a timely manner
- Provide support for outreach and events
- Provide assistance on additional tasks as needed by Atlas team
Multimedia Editor (Social media)*
- Manage Atlas social media account (IG, Facebook, Twitter)
- Draft posters for events (including the symposium), request for submissions, and additional Atlas initiatives
- Collaborate with Website editor for outreach
- Support outreach activities and event promotions on Atlas social media platforms.
- Provide assistance on additional tasks as needed by Atlas team
*Will work as part of core Atlas team and help plan the Symposium
Multimedia Editor (Website)*
- Manage Pardee Atlas website page through WordPress
- Upload submissions to website and make timely updates as needed
- Draft web content for events (including the symposium), request for submissions, and additional Atlas initiatives
- Collaborate with Social Media editor for outreach
- Provide assistance on additional tasks as needed by Atlas team
- Prior experience with WordPress preferred but not required
*Will work as part of core Atlas team and help plan the Symposium
Atlas Symposium
Outreach/Logistical Officer
- Coordinate with Symposium Chair and key Atlas stakeholder for outreach to universities around the Boston/Cambridge area (Harvard, Tufts, Northeastern, etc.)
- Manage Symposium related communications
- Maintain relationship with stakeholders within and outside of BU for planning of event
- Review abstracts as needed for the Symposium
- Provide other administrative and logistic support as needed
All team members are responsible for ensuring the quality of material submitted to The Pardee Atlas, as well as promoting The Pardee Atlas website, social media, and subsequent publications and maintaining the integrity of the organization.
