Advancing Human Progress Initiative

Dear Readers,

Welcome back to another exciting semester of the Pardee Atlas!

We enter 2022 in a world abundant with problems. As Pardee graduate students, you are acutely aware of the latest global issue, whether from your own personal research into a region or from one of the many courses taught on international affairs. To continue our mission of publishing original and thought-provoking works by graduate students, we are launching the “Advancing Human Progress” Publication Initiative!

Accepting submissions starting February 1st through March 25th, this initiative is looking for policy papers between 1000 – 3000 words. Potential topics include but are not limited to: humanitarianism, gender equality, technology, race, climate change, and pandemic preparedness. Your paper should take a global issue and provide a solution to that issue. The papers must abide by Chicago Style and cannot have been used in a prior or current course. Papers chosen for publication will be released online in April.

As Editor-in-Chief, I challenge you to dig deep and write a thought provoking policy paper. As one of the few academic journals here at Boston University, an opportunity to be published is one that should not be missed.

Please direct all questions to pardeeatlas@gmail.com

We look forward to reading your works!

Sincerely,

Eduard J. Miska

Editor-in-Chief
