Project in Vietnam

Dr. Quatromoni was engaged collaboratively with colleagues from Boston Medical Center on this international initiative in Vietnam. This work helped to establish an infrastructure for initiating clinical nutrition research initiatives into the Children’s Hospital, brought clinical training and continuing education on evidence-based practice of clinical and community nutrition care to doctors, nurses and other health professionals in two major cities in Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City), and worked to establish a university curriculum for training nurses and dietitians in partnership with Hanoi Medical University’s Institute for Preventive Medicine and Public Health and the National Institute for Nutrition, preparing a new workforce for delivering nutrition services under a new mandate from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.
