Child Health Promotion Research

Dr. Quatromoni’s research in child health promotion aims to reduce risk factors for childhood obesity, namely poor diet and physical inactivity. Her work includes observational studies, nutrition education programming, behavioral interventions, and interventions that change the environment so that healthy choices can be made and healthy habits encouraged and sustained. Most of this work occurs in schools and other community settings like after-school programs, with extension activities that engage parents and are specifically designed to impact the home food environment.
