Defining the Numerator Population (Patients with Target Outcome)
The numerator population is always a subset of the denominator population in a HOME Cell query and the population is configured in the “Outcome: Numerator” tab of the HOME Cell. The same constraints are used as for denominator population. For example, if a HOME Cell user was trying to measure the proportion of adult primary care patients with obesity and the denominator was configured as shown in the Denominator section of this site, then the numerator population would be the sub-set of patients with a BMI > 30 during the reference interval (year) and would be configured using the “Value Constraint” as shown below.
