Dr. Paula Quatromoni is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences in the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Boston University. She is a member of the faculty in Nutrition where she engages with undergraduate and graduate students in the classroom and through mentored research opportunities. She is co-director of the MS program in Public Health Nutrition at the BU School of Public Health where she has a faculty appointment in the Department of Epidemiology.

A registered dietitian, she is a media spokesperson and advocate for health promotion and child wellness for the American Heart Association. As senior consultant to Walden Behavioral Care, she is engaged in clinical practice and research on treatment of eating disorders and creator of the Walden GOALS program, an intensive outpatient treatment program for competitive athletes with eating disorders.

Dr. Quatromoni’s research and practice areas of interest include:

  • Child, adolescent, and adult obesity
  • Diet and chronic disease, specifically cardiovascular disease and metabolic disease
  • Sports nutrition
  • Eating disorders prevention and treatment
  • School based health promotion
  • Dietary assessment
