Jeya Anandakumar

Jeya Anandakumar is a sophomore at Portland State University majoring in biochemistry and is also enrolled in the University Honors College. She is a NIDA summer intern at Dr. Bryant’s lab working with Jake Beierle on the chromosome 1 project which looks at identifying candidate genes that are responsible for opioid addiction traits in reduced complexity cross. During the academic year, she works at Oregon Health and Science University as a Research Assistant focusing on human adolescent resting-state functional connectivity MRI data between and within the networks of the cortico-striatal network.
