Gallery: Women’s basketball shutdown by Bryant’s offense

In a pre-Thanksgiving matchup, the Boston University women’s basketball team dropped 83-56 to the then-undefeated Bryant Bulldogs. After losing the opening tipoff, the Terriers were unable to defend the fiery start of the Bulldogs, who shot 13-for-18 in the opening quarter and took a commanding 33-11 lead after the first quarter and were able to maintain their 20-point lead at half time, with a score of 46-26. Senior forward Anastasiia Semenova and sophomore guard Rose Azmoudeh drained the Terriers’ first three-pointers in the third quarter, and freshman forward Kate Allard scored her first collegiate points off a free throw in the fourth quarter. BU finished the game stronger, scoring 13 of the last 18 points, but the gap was too much to close.
