Gallery: Women’s basketball holds off UMass Lowell
Boston University’s women’s basketball team claimed their first home victory with their 50-47 win over the UMass Lowell Riverhawks. The Terriers’ gritty defensive performance held the Riverhawks to just seven first-quarter points. Senior forward Anete Adler scored 20 points, a team-high for BU, with her effective technique in the post. Lowell came out swinging in the fourth quarter and nearly completed a 14-point comeback, but some costly fouls and late free throws from junior guard Audrey Ericksen proved to be too much for the Riverhawks. The Terriers allowed their season low in scoring, and improved to 3-3 on the season.
