Gallery: Men’s hockey lose to Northeastern’s late game-winning goal

Conceding a late goal with 61 seconds left in the game, the Boston University men’s hockey team fell 3-2 in the opener of their last weekend series at Matthews Arena to the Northeastern Huskies. The Terriers got started in the second minute of the first period when freshman forward John McNelis scored his first career goal by tipping in Mick Frechette’s wrister from the point. The Huskies responded with their own tally in the fourth minute of the first period, but sophomore Nick Roukounakis added another goal for BU in the ninth minute. Northeastern scored the only goal of the second period, three minutes in, and found the game winner with 1:01 left on the clock in the final frame.
