Gallery: Women’s hockey falls short in Battle of Comm Ave. rematch
Looking to avenge their 5-2 loss in the opening game of the series, the Boston University women’s hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision to the Boston College Eagles, while setting the Hockey East regular season attendance record of 3,965. The Eagles struck first, shorthanded, but senior forward Sydney Healey responded in the 17th minute of the first period with a power play goal. BC ended the first frame by capitalizing on a BU penalty to take a 2-1 lead. While the second period remained scoreless, senior forward Clara Yuhn redirected a loose puck off a rebound in the sixth minute of the third period to tie the game at two apiece. The Eagles, however, found one more gear and scored the go-ahead goal in the 17th minute of the final frame.
