Boston University Field Hockey (5-8, 2-2 PL) hosts the Lafayette Leopards (9-5, 4-1 PL) for their final home game of the regular season on Friday afternoon.

The Terriers look to snap their five-game losing streak against the Leopards, but the team has struggled at home so far, posting a 3-6 record at New Balance Field this season. Although the series between the two schools is tied at seven apiece, Lafayette has won the last five games, dating back to 2021.

BU is also currently on a three-game losing streak, getting shut out on all three occasions. While the Leopards boast a better record this season, they, too, have faltered away from home. They hold a 2-4 record in away games, but a staggering 7-1 record at home.

Generating the most offense for the Terriers this year is senior forward Caroline O’Brien, who has recorded 10 goals and six assists in 13 games. In the last game that BU scored in, on Oct.4 at Lehigh, she recorded two goals. She has also recorded the most shots of anyone on the team, at 41.

Junior midfielder Nicole Lauro and freshman midfielder Molly Driscoll have also contributed to the Terrier scoring heavily, scoring five and four goals this season, respectively. Both players also scored against Lehigh, rounding out the goal scorers for the Terriers in that game.

Lafayette enters this game with four players in double digits for scoring. Junior forward Lea Good and junior defender Lena Thedrian each have 14 points to their name, while junior defender Katie Gibb and senior midfielder Josephine van Wijk have recorded 11 points each. Senior goalkeeper Raffi Fragomeni, additionally, has played and started all 14 games this season. She boasts a 1.23 goals against average and has made 50 saves so far this season.

The Terriers will honor their senior class prior to the game. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at New Balance Field, with streaming available on ESPN+.
