Gallery: Men’s soccer holds off Harvard to wrap up road trip
The Boston University men’s soccer team finished a three-game road trip as they fought to a 3-2 victory over the Harvard Crimson, withholding the offensive surge the Crimson put on in the second half. Freshman defender Austin Mobray drew a free kick in the 11th minute, and senior defender Quin DeLaMater finished off the kick from junior forward Lapo Romieri. In the second half, the Terriers roared to a then 2-0 lead through the efforts of senior forward Ethan Gill, who had his shot initially blocked, but was able to finish the rebound. Harvard, however, did not give up and scored two goals, in the 80th and 82nd minutes, respectively. BU had the final say in the game, as they drew another free kick in the 84th minute, and senior defender Aidan Kieffer flicked in the ball off a kick from sophomore midfielder Pharis Petrica to give the Terriers their first win against the Crimson since 2019, and first at Soldier field in 14 years.
