Gallery: Field Hockey falls short in high-scoring affair with New Hampshire
The Boston University Field Hockey team came up short to the University of New Hampshire Wildcats, losing 7-6. The Terriers began their offensive fire power from the start, scoring three goals in the first quarter, from junior midfielder Nicole Lauro, all off penalty corners, but UNH answered with two of their own. In the second quarter, the Wildcats scored the only goal to level the game at 3-3 going into half time. To open the third period, senior forward Caroline O’Brien found the back of the net for her first of two goals in this game, but New Hampshire responded again with two more goals. BU clawed back in the fourth quarter to tie the game, with goals from O’Brien and junior defender Bella Bergner, but UNH scored the final goal to defeat the Terriers.
