Boston University Men’s Soccer (4-3-0, 1-1-0 PL) will face the Bucknell Bison (5-1-2, 1-0-1 PL) on Saturday at Emmitt Field in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
This match offers the Terriers a chance to forget the traumatic loss they got against their cross-town rival Boston College on Tuesday. The team surrendered two goals in the final three minutes, after leading most of the second half.
Now ranked No. 5 in the Patriot League, BU looks to reset and grab their first away win of September.
This season, the Terriers are 2-3 on the road, with their last away victory against the College of Charleston on Aug. 29. In the other four away games, the Terriers scored two goals total.
Bucknell, meanwhile, enters the match undefeated at their home field and ranks No. 2 in the league. The Bison have scored a league-high 19 points across eight games and lead in goals per game.
Despite falling behind in six of eight games, Bucknell has dropped only one of those matches.
Still, the Bison have conceded first in five games — a trend BU could take advantage of.
Offensively, the Terriers have scored 11 goals in seven games with a balanced attack.
Juniors Lapo Ramieri and Andrea di Blasio lead the team as forwards — both scoring two goals so far this season.
For Bucknell, junior midfielder Jack Lucas tops the league’s scoring chart with four goals in eight games. Forwards Zane Domsohn, Drew Roskos and Jakub Samelko follow Lucas by one goal behind.
Kickoff is at 1 p.m at Holmes Stadium in Lewisburg, with streaming available on ESPN+.
