Gallery: Men’s ice hockey falls to Western Michigan in National Championship
The Boston University men’s hockey team came up short in the NCAA title game against Western Michigan. WMU scored the first goal just 1:38 into the first period. Freshman Cole Eiserman tied the game at 1-1 but WMU scored late in the first period to give the Broncos a 2-1 lead heading into the second. WMU went up 3-1 before captain Shane Lachance scored on the power play to bring the Terriers back within one. The Broncos overpowered the Terriers in the third and scored three more goals including an empty net to solidify WMU’s 6-2 win.
